Traverse City House of Prayer
Gary and Janice Slater , after attending two 3 month internships at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, MO , felt the calling of God in the spring of 2009 to begin a House of Prayer in their own home-town of Traverse City, Michigan.
They began looking for like minded people and found that much prayer and intercession and similar endeavors had been sown in this area for years. They began gathering these people, who were from several different churches, and who had a similar vision as they did.
After much prayer, the Traverse City House of Prayer was incorporated in June of 2009. The leadership has a strong desire to make this a community Christian prayer room for believers from all walks to gather together in unity, praising God and interceding for our city, region, state, and country.
